The diagnostic process for sick patients often includes thorough blood panels to detect abnormalities in the blood parameters. We also recommend routine blood screens on your pets as part of their annual exams. This provides us with a baseline idea of your pet’s health and could lead to early detection of disease allowing us to intervene quickly. We have a fully operational and functional lab to diagnose various ailments. Certain tests which are out of the scope of a general veterinary clinic are sent out to specialty labs in Markham.
Lab Testing Includes:
- CBC (Complete blood count) parameters
- Serum Chemistry (complete and partial)
- Cytology and Histopathology
- Urinalysis
- Packed Cell Volume (PCV)
- Allergy testing
- Fecal floatation
- Minor Immune testing
- Snap testing - heartworm, parvovirus, Feline viral etc.
- Skin Scraping & Fungal Testing
Our trained staff keeps up to date on laboratory testing through continuing education courses. The laboratory equipment is routinely calibrated to ensure excellent quality results.
